Oh NO Fridays!

OMG!!! It's the Style News with
RACHEALLEE!!

Welcome to my Oh No Fridays! The first one of 2010!

Now if you listen to the PGH Style Segment on 96.1 Kiss FM on Thursdays then you know what this is all about. However, if you missed it, the link is here for you to listen to! Finally I am getting more tech savvy... which I find very time consuming, but appreciated the 'geek' side of me coming out.

Oh No! True Religion Jeans!

I as well as many people in the industry are so over mainstream!!!! Not to mention the price tag and their quality has gone down. Way down. Recently in an article from WWD, 2 Pittsburgh denim boutique owners were interviewed in regards to what price tags are selling. Check out the blog from Kate Marshall.

As for you men and women with a case of No ASS @ All....Yep, ladies you were spotted!

Versus this is how you ass should look...

Spring me a Garden....Spring 2010

OMG!!! It's the Style News with
RACHEALLEE!!

Spring=Flowers=Good weather ahead!

I am jumping for joy hearing that this weather is going up to the 40's! Alright! Now I can start thinking of my Spring 10' wardrobe and actually feel good about buying it....

I am seeing florals everywhere which makes me feel good about those nice days with the sun-shining and waltzing down the street in my colorful bouquet of attire. Let's take a look at what is hot in florals and who has them in store!

From Pants, to skirts, jackets shorts, tops...it's all florals and bright as well as pastel. It's feminine, it's soft and pretty...Perfect from day to night.

  • Keep the piece simple, don't go overboard and be all matchy matchy...that's a big no, no.

  • Alternate-Break it up with a Wrap-lose the belt...

  • Don't overdo it with the item you put on your body. If your a big girl you don't want to look like a garden.

  • On the reverse, if your super tiny-oversized prints, pants & jackets will be a good piece for you to wear.

Check for authentic florals @ second hand stores such as Avalon, Salvation Army, Goodwill and Thrift Stores for true vintage.

Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah, Roma-ma, Gaga Oh la la, Want your bad Romance

OMG!!! It's the Style News with
RACHEALLEE!!

OK, now I'm more obsessed with the one then only
Lady Gaga....

As if I wasn't already intrigued by her crazy sense of fashion and wild & unexpected costumes, she made her statement world-wide and is the biggest and most exotic artist next to Madonna. I have seen many musicians try and mimic Madonna's constant reinvention of style and musical direction however Lady Gaga surpassed this artist of our time and has been the talk of 2009. I am very interested to see what is in store for 2010.

I go the honor to see her show in Miami over New Years @ Fontainebleau poolside. It was insane. You can check it out here.

I was reading several articles about Gaga after the new year and this article from Time Out put her in such a precise description, I don't think I could of said it any better...

"Lady Gaga is an enigma, wrapped in a mystery, bundled in a pink-lace bodysuit, cloaked in an unobtainium-encrusted post-modern haze. Here at TONY, we gathered the finest Gaga obsessives and clueless dullards to unwrap the wisdom of this year's Haus of Gaga's haute couture. Only by comprehending her fashion message can we stride confidently on heels made of ski poles into the New Year. Ladies and gentleman, we give you, a year in Gaga."

In addition to Gaga mayhem, Barbie Dolls?? Wow...Check this out from Fashion Pulse Daily....

And it's a new beginning! Ehh...Resolutions...

OMG!!! It's the Style News with
RACHEALLEE!!

(Please don't be offended by this picture...)

Welcome folks to PGH Style Segment 2010!
Even though I am a week late on updating all of you,
I decided to wait until;

#1. I got back from vacation-yes I was in the beautiful city of Miami which I will report back to you all on later this week.
#2. Decided how I wanted to proceed with the PGH Style Segment.
#3. What changes I plan to make.
#4. I didn't like to be like everyone else with the first day of 2010.

Let's start off with yes, it's a new year and YES, we all make resolutions. It's normally the same old boring blah....blah....blah...Lose weight, participate in a triathlon, make lot's of money, get rid of the boring bf/gf or whatever...but, I am going to jump on the losing weight bandwagon due to the fact I started a month ago when I knew I was headed to the beach of Miami for NYE and was going to frolic with the locals, celebs, foreigners and whomever was in my path of meeting.

Having a small frame with a busty chest, I have to keep my shape from front to back without looking too much like a porn-star. So finding clothes that fit all my "problem" areas is my mission in 2010. But!, I have to workout like a fein to keep the luscious curves my mother oh-so blessed me with. I guess it also means on cutting out my alcohol...too bad I love my Grand Marnier Congnac AKA "Gran Ma" which has over 70 calories and 6.5 grams of carbs! Yikes! And that is for a shot!

Let's take a look @ my workout schedule:
Golds Gym- Spin 3-4 x's a week, Yoga 2-3 x's a week, Pilates 1 x a week, + additional cardio and Core daily at the gym. I even go 2 x's a day 2-3 days a week!

Personal Trainers that I would love to hire:
Local Pittsburgh Trainer-Terra Brozowski of Terra Fittness
Jillian Michaels my go celeb trainer....

Why would I choose these two?
Simply-I love their bodies...

Girls with the "girls"
a.k.a. pic above...
For those of you ladies who have a hard time finding tailored tops to fit, especially us business professionals; here are some options for those peeping tom button down shirts-
shopping sites and local retailers...

Bravissimo

WWB

Express has great button down blouses with stretch poplin in them and starting at $29.99.

Old Navy blouses are cut a lil more generous and start at just a whopping $9.99.

If you can think of any websites or local retailers make sure you comment on this blog and help your fellow lady friends out!

Until tomorrow, xoxo, Racheallee
