About Pussycat-In 1969 Sally and Jack Lichtenstein founded The Pussycat in a tiny 500 square foot store on Forbes Avenue in Pittsburgh. The business has since grown and moved down the street to a much larger (2200 square foot) store, its still the same amazing family business it was 40 years ago.
Today, Sally's daughter Gail handles the day to day business, but Sally brings her 40 plus years of bra fitting experience into the store on a regular basis. The Pussycat has always been known for their customer service and has built a reputation as one of the top lingerie stores in The United States.
The Pussycat stocks many high-end brands, in addition to some they have found on their many trips to New York City, Paris, and beyond, that are lesser known in America, but favorites with our customers. Gail and Mrs. Moses seek out beautiful, high quality lingerie, much of which is handmade, bringing international fashion to Pittsburgh.
One of the things we at The Pussycat are most proud of is our customer loyalty. We are honored to have two or three generations of women visiting and passing on our tradition of quality lingerie. The Pussycat's reputation has grown beyond three families. Our customers range from actresses from the stage and screen to women from all across the country, who have heard about the amazing Pussycat service and would like to see for themselves. Sally and Gail are thrilled to find that their expertise is in demand on local television and magazines, notably WHIRL, and Pittsburgh's CBS affiliate, KDKA.
The Pussycat is proud of its over 40 years strong reputation for excellence, and is looking forward to the challenge of sharing that experience beyond our Pittsburgh home.
